Reusable Bags

This is a simple one, get reusable bags and use them each time you go shopping. Keep them in your car, or better still place them in your door handle so you remember them when you go shopping.

Donate Unwanted Items

We all have items at home that we do not want, but rather than throw them out, see if anyone else needs it. Either make money with ebay or give them away using something like freecycle. This way the item is re-used rather than produced twice.

Insulation

Ensure you have loft and cavity insulation. Upto 33% of energy can be lost through badly insulated properties.

Double Glazing

This should really be seen as an essential nowadays. This can save you heating costs and has the added bonus of cutting out some of the traffic noises.
